S'alright, time to do shit.

Christmas this year was okay.

Me and Rob traded gifts the Friday before he left for Germany. He got my Bounty Hunter Yoko (which I love and is awesome and won Christmas). I got him Mr. Popo. And made him laugh >3

He's coming apart though, cheap Chinese plush toys... I'm gonna fix him the next time I go over cause it's bothering me. :[

The Wednesday before Christmas I went to Laura's house and spent the night with her, Will, Brittany (Will's sister), Ed, and Pat. Jackie stopped by for a little while, too. We watched some Nostalgia Critic, played some video games, ate delicious chocolate from Jackie, played with Laura's Ratty-rats... generally had an awesome time! It was like CoTU before they had to move out! I miss it :[ Laura got me a bunch of silly stuff, like Barbie Lip Gloss, a froggy plush toy, MAGIC TOWELS :0 OF THE SPONGEBOB VARIETY, Silly string... just random awesome stuff. Will got me a NMBC t-shirt, which everyone who's seen loves and wants. But they can't have it, cause it's mine :[

Worked Christmas Eve, got myself dressed all pretty, and went to the grandparent's as usual. I'm too old for the Grandkids rotation anymore, but I still got Star Trek and some money from my grandparents. Only problem is the DVD is a Blu Ray and I don't have a Blu Ray player. We're working on that though >_>

Christmas Day Jen and my OTHER grandmother came over and we did family gifts. Star Trek Calendar (which I totally needed, let's just say I've been bad with dates lately), a Tricorder from Jen (which made a close second place to Yoko), jeans, a new coat, and LEFT 4 DEAD 2. Which is fun, totally different from the old game, and damn near impossible with the bots cause the bots suck ass, but still lots of fun.

New Years saw Rob, but he had a party to go to so I sent him on his way and went home to play Sevens with the wifey.

I kept winning :3 I'm actually learning a strategy in that game, but still sucking.

Saturday was the Yomise. I was Toon Link after redoing my wig, and hosted a few events. Name That Anime went well and Team America won. I gave them a hug for getting the Robotech slide right and got HEFTED UP GARY STYLE. Gah, bastards.

I did music for the cosplay contest, as usual, and then hosted the dance off, again like usual. It was a lot of fun and being Link again was great, that costume is just generally a lot of fun. The dance was fun, too! Lauren was dressed like a skank (guess one of us had to be if I was dressed like a little boy...), so I was on the "NOBODY LOOK AT LAUREN" patrol since Alex was busy doing the music.

Fun times fun times. :3

AAC 2009: A Dissertation

...Con went better than I planned it to >_>

SO HERE'S THE REPORT!! :0

Thursday:

Went to class, made delicious candy, listened to Keefe lecture, went home.

Sat around until like... 6 PM cause Alex said he wasn't going to be there til 7 and you can't do jack shit until he's there. Jen hung out for a while and dressed me up cause she wanted to borrow some of my jeans and I was planning on wearing them, so it was mini skirt thursday! :0

Arrived at the hotel, some of the staff were there, Ed and Laura were there with Pat. Free internet in the lobby! Pat gave me some HQ rips of Zombieland and Inglourious Basterds (which I will be watching later this week when I'm not exhausted), and then I followed Ed as he set up Brawl in the Main Stage. I actually won a fight as Toon Link! Which is funny since I would be cosplaying him on Saturday.

Lost a lot as Pikachu, but the first fight was pretty damn close! :0 I'm getting better, but not really, haha.

Helped people bring some stuff in, walked around the hotel a bit, Sketch showed up and brought his stuff up to the room while I was dealing with some of the registration stuff with Laura and Ed...

Sketch got me a hat! <3 We were talking earlier in the week and he couldn't find his hat so he went and bought two new ones. My response: Now you're gonna find it, you realize. You know the law.

Yeah, found it while he was packing. Go me. I told him I was gonna steal one of his hats so he just gave it to me. With a Star Trek pin on it! <3 I get the captain pin, he got the Engineering one, just like in my comic "Boldly Going". Awesome hat is awesome.

We ended up going up to the hotel room where I became a tumor. Yay clinging. I was benign, it was cool, no need for chemo.

FRIDAY:

Awww yeah Friday.

I was Yoko all day. Yay heels. D: I'm tall and my legs look great, but after several hours I hate life in general and just want normal shoes again.

Opening ceremonies was at noon but me and Sketch were awake early so he headed down to do stuff and I went downstairs to help do some set up before getting dressed. Helped do some pipe and drape, found my Lauren-lovey, saw Laura Big Boobies, blah blah blah... I ended up getting dressed at about 11 AM and heading back down to main stage.

People liked Yoko, they usually do, but I was running around so much it was hard to stop for pictures. IN ANY CASE.

Hung out at the sound stage during opening, helped Katy guess guest names (way to be, Uncle Timmy), saw Ryan... AND WAS KATY'S LOVELY ASSISTANT! When she mentioned her Vash coat, I had to bring it on stage. So I held it up in front of me to "model" it and get shouted at by numerous members of the audience to put it on. My response is "DUDE, THERE ARE LIKE 100 BUTTONS ON THIS THING!" and started to unbutton it. Katy shooed me off stage and the King and "Queen", aka Buddha's friends, helped me put it on. I had to lose one of my wrist cuffs and the scarf, and we buttoned it funny and couldn't work out the collar, but when I got on stage people freaked out. I was apparently SnJ Vash.

WTF Yoko has RED HAIR. That's not Manga OR Anime Vash. Not even close D:

Either way, Katy starts fussing with me cause I buttoned it funny, and ends up taking it off me. And leaving me on stage because I was going to be a suspect in the King's Murder. I don't know why, but I feel really naked in Yoko without that scarf. So I'm sitting on stage, not allowed to leave the stage, and kinda feeling naked. AWKWARD. Kept trying to take the coat back... and ran off that stage as soon as I could!

After closing ceremonies, I went to get some delicious food. Misses Lauren's Mommy was head of the Green Room and had a list of staff members that she crossed off when you ate and if you didn't, she hunted you down to make you eat. So I ate cause I was scared of her, lol.

I also got to help at the ballroom dancing panel! Me and Lauren were peeking in and Meph saw me and dragged me in. I was a Rude's dance partner. He was funny as hell, terrified to touch me as Yoko. Meph had to correct his arm stance like three times since our elbows were supposed to be touching and he kept trying to move his hands to a less skin place... which in Yoko is kinda hard to find. The dancing is easy, a box step is just simple, but in Yoko shoes I kept understepping and then overstepping to correct. Yoko is not a ballroom dancer.

I had to leave though cause...

Katie brought ALIEN TO THE CON OH GOD HE WAS ADORABLE.

I made him a Boota costume from Gurren Lagann and it was warm and fuzzy. Samantha came too, she was Misa from Death Note, but the wig my mom got her was EWBY so I did MOVIE MISAand just pigtailed her hair for her. Gary still has my Death Note. After two years. Fucker, give it back.

Sadly Renee was going to the pool, so I put Samantha in the Arts and Crafts room and carried Alien around with me while I did staffly things. Like walk around the dealer's room with Lauren, Katy, and Ryan. Everyone loved Alien, and he picked out a Kuwabara keychain. BOY'S GOT GOOD TASTE, WHAT CAN I SAY.

About half way through the dealer's room, Katy can attest, he just went WOOMPF and fell asleep. I wish we got it on video. In any case, I circled back and went to Sketch's table and was like "haha I has a baby." and then he took him. I took pictures though! It was funny cause everytime he talked, Alien would wake up, look all tired, and fall right back asleep. He was really well behaved and it gave me a chance to sit down for a while.

I was called around a lot, though, lots of my chess and dating game pieces wanted to talk to me and I didn't give out my cell number or get a walkie talky so finding me was like a game.

Funniest thing is when Lauren brought Sam to the artist alley and Sketch's jaw just DROPS and he's just staring between the two of us because she really is just like a miniature version of me. It was hilarious cause I'm just used to it. I mean, that's kinda why I dumped her off because people always think she's my kid. I only had two or three people ask me if Alien was mine and one of them wasn't really asking he asked how old he was and when I saw 5 months he just says "oh wow, your figure snapped right back!"

That's right. Milf. I'm a milf. LOL.

Katie came back to get Alien around 5 and of course he wakes up and is all cute after that. He was just sleeping and eating until then. BAD PERFORMER. :[

Doo doo doo... I got to go to the formal dance!

It was fun, but I did mention I don't dance to Lisa which Sketch took as "oh okay, no dancing then." even though I kinda wanted to. I should have asked. *gets smacked by Sketch and told not to regret stuff* BUT there will be other times to do that *ducks head*

DATING GAME. LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS TRAIN WRECK.

OMITTED.

Set up? What set up. Alex didn't get the memo that we needed a certain amount of mikes and there was never buffer time between events. Not to mention that we were kinda running late cause we had to get Sketch painted/hair done. Ryan helped with the hair, I did the tattoo. I had to run though so I could greet my pieces.

The people asking questions were supposed to be in a panel room. That got given away. Ryan's quick thinking put them in the bar. Which is where I'm just going to put them from now on forever. :[

First round was... oh god. Gary, you little performer, I don't even know. He was Kintaro Ue asking questions to James from Pokemon, Gojyo from Saiyuki, and Ed Elric from FMA. They were all great. Gary crossed lines. Oh the lines he crossed... but it was HILARIOUS. I love Gary. At the end he chose... himself. And a box of tissues and a bottle of lotion. I was just like "....wat" and then he RAN OUT OF THE ROOM AND MARZ FOLLOWED. His wig fell off. Jesus christ I love my con.

Next round was good... sorta. Misa had some great questions, Laura is too naive for the 18+ but I put her there cause I needed the tits. If she's ever in it again, she's only asking questions, she can't answer them. Also she gets 6 mikes so people can hear her D:

Lauren was Horo. AND KEPT STROKING HERSELF. WTF LAUREN ILU.

Third round was a... fiasco is putting it to nicely. Kyon is retarded. He is never in my games again. His questions were so series oriented and thesis paper long no one was even listening to him. It fell to me doing the last questions. "Bachelor 1, would you fuck him yes or no? Bachelor two, would you let him stick it in you, yes or no?"

He made life so fucking ANNOYING ALL WEEKEND AS;LDJKFASDF. >[

After that I was just like "DONE. Done. DONE!" Packed up my stuff and went upstairs to change. Sketch had to do his podcast stuff so I wandered the con a bit in some comfortable shoes (didn't want to sit in the room alone like a LOSER), and ended up at Ed's panel with Geoff, Sami, and the gang. Oh god. Hentai dubbing was hilarious this year.

Mostly cause of the footage Ed used, but, jesus, it was great. I left after a little while, came back to the room and crashed out.

SATURDAY

YAY WAKING UP EARLY CAUSE SKETCH HAS A PANEL! :3

Shower, get into Link, find a safety pin cause my costume is migrating, double up on tights cause bending over is a hazard in this costume, get a sammich.

I went to EXTREEEEEEEEEEEME Iron Editor. WHICH WAS HILARIOUS BEE TEE DUBS.

Katy looked like she was having fun, Dan was having a blast, the AMVs they showed during were awesome, they used NICE BOAT footage. It was epic.

I also got a top hat on my Link hat. I was quite the dapper young lad.

My windwaker looks like poop though. Gonna remake that for AB, me thinks. Make it a little more right sized and less like a 3rd grader made it in art class.

Dating Game went SO WELL.

It was AMAZING DESPITE HICCUPS.

Each Round had BIG BOOBIES. ALL THE TIME. IT WAS GREAT.

First round:

Boa Hancock (who I love, she was one of Tony's friends and she is sweet as pie and twice as cute), asked questions to Grell, Roxas... and Sanji. Cause Rude didn't show up in time. But it worked so well! Geoff had never been in a dating game before, but as Sanji he fucking SHINED. They were all so great. Boa is amazing and I love her and I'm so glad she was in dating game AND CHESS it was AWESOME.

As Link, I got to be a 10 year old boy so every time I talked to Boa it was like "Pretty lady can you ask another ques- you're pretty." Cause Boa is the "hottest chick in the world, no lie" in One Piece. I kept doing the Link wall crawl whenever I went in front of the stage.

Ryan Cohosted as Eddie Valient from Who Framed Roger Rabbit cause in the next round... BRY REPLACED KONATA AS MISS PRETTY LADY HERSELF, Jessica Rabbit! She was hot. No lie.

Before the round started I couldn't find my list, so I ran around looking for it and when I found it, I held it up and did the "da da da daaaaa~!" noise. It was awesome. She was asked questions by Reno alongside... Cooking Mama (WHO I LOVE) and Momo from Bleach. The round went great, Reno chose Jessica. Rude caused a scene. It was awesome.

Third round was again... sldkfjadsfkasdf. Laura was asking questions, she's good at that and cute, but so quiet and shy. Xellos sucked. Zero was emo and perfect in character and I loved her. Parco Folgore saved the motherfucking show. He was so over the top and amazing and when Laura picked him, he did the fucking song from the show. The crowd LOVED HIM.

GOOD. FUCKING. DAY. I LOVED IT.

I wandered around a bit more, ended up again in Arist Alley, this time with Ceasar where I bought a cell phone charm... OF FOOFOO AND CABBAGE HEAD. I got one for Sketch too, his was OTHER CABBAGE HEAD AND VEGETA JR. He can't put it on his iphone, so he put it on his DS. But they are awesome and I loves them anyways. Hung out for a little bit but then had to go help out with stuff.

I messed around until the masquerade, where Sketch was judging, and I helped do some set up. Dan used my laptop to type and I ran the video feed to the screens. Sketch said I did a really good job :3 During the tutu skit I had to avoid close ups cause SIDE BOOB. EVERYWHERE. It was a Janet Jackson moment waiting to happen.

Got to dance with Lo, and Katy during the "STALL. STAAAALLLL" moment and then had to run right to the Chess meeting. Which could have run better. I need to work out an actual game plan for that, or just not have one. I mean, it helped a few people, I told them who they were fighting, gave them a better explanation of their music, stuff like that, and a lot of them took to it, but it was crowded and loud and didn't run very well. Sketch stopped by to let me know he was there before heading to dinner with the guests. I hung out with Ryan playing with some of the game stuff, getting more music, and generally using the free internet, met some guy named Corey who discussed the finer points of running these events and kept telling me I was letting myself get walked over and I had to lose the inhibition to be a bitch when I needed to be.

Went back up to the room and did a bit more with chess, changing names on lists and finalizing stuff, hopped into bed and turned on the TV and failed to figure out the channel system. Saturday was a very, very, VERY good day.

SUNDAY

Sundays are so hard to wake up for at Cons, lol. Showered, Yoko'd, and took all my stuff to Sketch's artist alley table and hopped to the chess match. WHERE NOTHING WAS SET UP. Gor.

I never got a call the night before to come set up cause Alex never called me and I wasn't going to hang around at the con all day when I could be relaxing in my room. So we did a hurry up set up and worked stuff out with pieces. Slight hiccups all around, but once it got going it went well. Totally my fault, obviously, but, still... no, totally my fault, haha. Gonna fix that next year.

Few issues to work on:

Music people: Need to be chosen ahead of time and given a deep briefing on it since I did a lot of in depth music things. I think I'll send files to people in the fights so they can work out the timings of their fights. He did well for a "HEY DO THIS" and also...

Two computers: One for the game, one for the music. Alex didn't tell me his video wasn't working until about half an hour before and I had no time to sit and redo the playlist on his computer since a lot of the files were renamed ON ITUNES and would need to be renamed and labeled on his computer. So Gray Shirt Guy and Ed were flipping through the screens and causing delays.

OMITTED.

Some of my pieces: DRAMA. FUCKING. QUEENS. GOD GET OVER YOURSELVES. The reason I wanted to host is because the job of the host is to entertain the crowd while the game is still being set up and then to make sure things go right. You are not actually involved and more often than not you are not supposed to talk. I run the event, I didn't want to perform in it... but I did and it was fun.

OMITTED.

THE GOOD:

1. Sanji bringing the Queen Back. People LOVED IT. I told him we'd play the Link noise, I didn't expect him to PICK ME UP. Even though it was HILARIOUS and AWESOME. I'm so hoping for video of that.

2. Katy is America. Her and Sketch as Kamina worked so well together, but I can't help but feel guilty cause I know she didn't want to do it and I kept telling her she didn't have to and I'd find someone else, but she did seem to have some fun.

3. Some of the attacks: THE ONES I LOVED PERSONALLY:
Doflamingo vs Nami. She took Sanji and controlled him and they were so perfect it was amazing. The crowd loved it and Geoff is still my favorite Sanji ever.
Kamina vs Seth: hee hee. Single ladies.
Boa Hancock: Kicking a fucking kitten. SHE KICKED THE GOD DAMN KITTEN. I LOVE HER FOREVER.
Miria and Isaac: For complete last minute pieces I fell in love with them. They were PERFECT. I love Baccano and they were the best Isaac and Miria I've seen in terms of personality and they knew just when to act like that when there was a lull to keep the audience entertained. If they enter next year, I am so going to use them. They are great.

After Chess I had the dance off, so I grabbed Alucard, who loves to dance and would be in it, gave him the sign up sheet with a "HEY, I'MMA GO CHANGE, BRB TAKE THIS." and he had people sign up while I was putting on Bunny Suit Yoko.

WHICH NEEDS SERIOUS WORK BUT IT SERVED IT'S PURPOSE. It fits decently considering that I've never made anything that form fitting before and was working with a self-made pattern, so I'm hoping Rei can help me work it out better.

Sami wants one. I'm sure I can make hers SO much better because I'll be fitting it to her and not me. I had to tape myself in, but the tape wasn't sticking, so I need to work a way to get the top part to stay on. It held up, but I had to keep pushing it back on cause it kept shifting. Not a HUGE deal, more cosmetic than anything, I'll work on it. Sketch suggested wire, which I'll look into since it sounds like it'll work.

Dance off when okay. I don't want to run it next year. I only said I would cause it was fun to help Supreet last year. Running it at Yomise's is one thing, but after Chess I was dead on my feet and really just wanted to sit down.

Which is what I did after the dance off. I shouted that whoever cleaned off the tape from the floor from the chess match got gold coins, had them clean up, packed up my stuff, and went to artist alley where I just sat with Sketch and tried not to fall asleep right there.

Then bought three Excel Saga action figures >_>

TWO OF THEM WERE THE SAME, THOUGH. UGH. Misaki is NOT my favorite character. I really wanted an Excel one, but the Elgala one will have to do since cone head is still a pretty awesome character in her own right. I gave one of the Misaki's to Ed, though, as a late birthday gift since I never got him and Geoff their cake. Shit works out.

Helped Sketch take down his table, went to main stage for closing ceremonies, where I was given not only the keyboard for a while, but a big gun by Doug. Yay big gun.

I had to go on stage and protect the "money and prizes and Katy" during the auction.

The auction was funny, too many people were auctioned off though. Buddha went for like 70-something coins, Alex got the most at like 200 but that was stage. Katy was bought for almost 200. I got... 67.

Which was apparently Lisa's doing. She took all the coins Sketch had amassed during the weekend (42 and then he gave some away), and when I was being auctioned off it was like "5, 10, 50!" and she just dumped a huge amount in his lap and he picked a number at random. I LOST TO BUDDHA AND ED. Buddha I can understand, but Ed made more than me. EGO BRUISED. Haha.

Sketch went for 30-something but that was because people were still counting their coins. It was a cute idea, the auction, but I think doing a cash auction for charity would work better because people know the money they have, counting coins takes time.

After that, I changed, and Katy, Bry, Sketch, and I sat in the lobby until the staff dinner. Om nom nom food.

But tired.

Tiiiiiiired.

....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.............

Good con overall, hopefully things get even better next year. Ryan's on the fence about going again, but him and Katy had a horrible time at NEFE last weekend, Ryan's been getting shit on a lot with stuff he's doing and his patience is completely gone. I know he's not going to AB, means that I either find a new skit or I'm not doing the masquerade. If Lauren can get Reika fixed up and I can get Sami to be Rei from FF3, I'll make the Engraver costume and we can do that skit we wanted to, which would awesome... but that's in the future. Right now I'm just trying to not fall asleep at school and working on outlines for my papers due in the coming weeks.

Pretty sure Yoko's going on hiatus coming up, or I'm at least buying another wig. She's seen better days and now she's kinda frizzy and gross. A new wig would be a good investment if I wear the costume more, and I know Sketch wants to do Hugh Heffner Kamina so Bunny Suit will see another con. Again, things will work out.

My lovely =nayruasukei runs this every year and I believe I should participate since she is all sexy, awesome, and one of my many waifus.

So, let's see...

1. Star Trek stuff. Primarily Spock in nature, but I do love the good lady Enterprise as well.

2. You know what. Just get me Zachary Quinto. As long as he's dressed as Spock, he's pretty hot and, at this point, hotter than Nimoy. Cause Nimoy is like... 85 years old. STILL HOT, but, you know... old and stuff.

3. Action figures! :0 One Piece ones, particularly. I love Portraits of Pirates and there's a Mihawk one, and a Brook one, and Sogeking, and and and a bunch others. Only POP I have is Sanji and little Sanji, I'd love more. I also loves GURREN LAGANN :3 OH, and Toradora.

4. McCoy/Chekov anything really. Fanart, fanfic, I reread my favorites all the time and there is a drastic lack of this anywhere. NU!Trek only, though, I like Anton Yelchin with Karl Urban A LOT BETTER than Walter Koenig and Deforrest Kelley... though DK is pretty damn dapper.

5. Jewelry from Kittie's Etsy... or you know, her skill at making them. I wear the blue one she sent me every day, I wear the pink one I got from her for special occasions, and Xati is hanging off Jack Sparrow since he's kinda lopsided and broken. I'd love some of her earrings (those pink ones, especially!) or one of her awesome chain-dangle necklaces (or that red star one, can you say GORGEOUS?). It might inspire me to go out and buy more clothes to wear with them :3

6. The extravagant... and ESSBAWS 360 and Left 4 Dead 1 and 2. This is the only thing I'm asking for from my parents, so I'm pretty sure I'll get it, haha.

7. Money for a new tattoo. I love my scorpion and I'm terrified of needles, but something just makes me want to get another one. LOWER ON THE PRIORITY LIST, I should probably decide what I'm getting and where before looking for that :X

8. Introduce me to new music! I don't listen to the radio anymore, so all my new music is from youtube videos and communities on LJ or my friends, and I'd like to consider all those who read this acquaintances at least! I got so much music last year from *KingdomFreak, but I've opened up space on my ipod and my harddrive and I'd love some more! :3

9. For things to get better. For him to make his choice and that it's one I can be happy with. For things to finally work the way I'd like them to. Nothing would make me happier than this actually working out for the two of us... I can wait, just not forever.

Was awesome. Not sure if I'm Tallahassee, Little Rock, or Bill Murray in our rag tag team of Zombie Fighters.

My money's on Bill Murray. :3

Group of like 20 of us went to see it opening night at the theater Sydney works at, I didn't have my wallet on me since I just kinda grabbed my debit card, changed after Dinner Service, and booked in the hour and a half to the theater to make it on time... TO BE CARDED.

Yeah, didn't have my ID. Then we remembered that Ed is 21 so he was my "Guardian" for the night. Pretty sure if he ever was my guardian, I'd be emancipated so fucking fast my head would spin.

Anyways, MOVIE. WAS. AWESOME. During the previews, we all made snide-ass comments about them (especially the Twilight trailer, the entire theatre was BOOING), and then the movie itself?

Glorious.

AMAZING.

FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC.

Everyone needs to see it, even if I need to drag them kicking and screaming to do so. I know me and Geoff have that zombie loving camaraderie and not everyone wants to be opening car doors on zombie faces, but, shit, this movie was hilarious. If not for my deep rooted love of Simon Pegg's silly accent, I'd say better than Sean of The Dead.

Afterwards was fun, too. We all hung out in the parking lot since it's been two months since I've seen these people and Laura was there and so was Lauren. We took a bunch of pictures, many of which involved booby grabbing... and then Ken slapped Geoff's lack of an ass and hurt his hand, to which me and Sami both pointed out he is minus an ass.

And then Ken wrestles me over his knee so Geoff can smack me in the ass.

And then Ed hit me in the same place 10 minutes later.

THEY ABUSE ME SO. He also found my horribly warped car key, threw it, and luckily I noticed before everyone left cause that would have sucked since no one told me he'd found it. Also funny is that he showed it off and I was like "haha, Ed's key is crazy warped like mine, that's cool."

BUT NO, IT WAS MINE. I'M JUST RETARDED.

To sum up the night would probably be the last thing I said to Geoff.

"I am exhausted and my ass hurts, thank you Geoffrey Lake."

Last AAC event before school starts... which... was... the only one! Whoo, go AAC!

Arrived around 7:20 and omg, PEOPLE WERE ACTUALLY THERE! I'm usually the first one there, shit sucks and I'm waiting around figuring "WOW, THEY CANCELED IT AND I MISSED THE MEMO. FUCK." but, NO, people were there.

Sami was Nami (those shorts rival Yoko's, how can she even say Yoko shorts are uncomfortable when she wears those? Also, datass.jpeg), Ed was setting up the vidya games and playing with his new Itsuki tie, they had brought some people, Alex was there... blah blah.

Me and Sami went and got Alex a donut and some soda, came back and KEN WAS THERE! YAY KEN! However, his camera had met misfortune a few days prior soooo he was gonna use my crappy digital to take pics. He took a few over the course of the night, but not as many as he probably would have with his kick ass camera of awesomesauce.

Got changed into Taiga (should have worn Yoko! Darcy showed up as Nia and omfg, she was ADORABLE!! But Renee was timeskip Yoko so I was like "enough boobs here, gonna be a loli")

I got complimented a lot on the outfit, even though almost no one knew what I was, lol. Alex had me up on the table helping hang up lights and some girl just walks up and goes "I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT, IT'S SO CUTE!" and I couldn't be all Taiga and "GO AWAY, GRR" cause she obviously didn't know about Toradora! so I thanked her and went back to fighting with my jacket (they're really tailored in, so lifting my arms to some points is a pain in the butt).

I sent Pat to get me a sewing kit since I forgot a needle and thread and one of my buttons was coming off (gasp of horror) so fixed that just in time for the first event of the night, NAME THAT ANIME TUNE!

I was score keeper and Sami ran the computer. :0 I got to spontaneously dance to the categories, one of which, all about 4kids theme songs, made everyone collectively groan in horror. Best part? Matt, who was cosplaying from METAL GEAR FUCKING SOLID, didn't get Sonic X's opening... but got TOKYO FUCKING MEW MEW. WTF. MATT, THAT SAYS A LOT ABOUT YOU.

After that, we set up Weeaboo. WHICH FAILED. OH GOD. My program was like "Working? Pfft, no. You're silly, I'm not gonna work."

So while we argued with technology, everyone loved my background. And who wouldn't? It's Spock and Kirk BROFISTING. Grey Shirt Guy started a "NEXT GENERATION IS BETTER" war with me and I almost strangled him with the microphone stand, but we truced in agreeing that Voyager sucked. All was well. Until we tried playing, then you know, fuck everything.

One of the categories picked would go to another category, and Ken would click too many times sometimes and it would go to another category, and the score system wasn't working... I just sort of gave up after the fifth error and simply played it by "DO YOU KNOW THIS? NO? AUDIENCE, DO YOU?"

The girl got two questions wrong, one for a pass, and then the LAST ONE SHE GOT WRONG, OHHH hate it when that happens, Vegeta. Anyway, I took the last question to the audience, which was "In Outlaw Star, what is Melfina's Shut Down code?"

The guy who answered said "You broke my mason bowl?"

Gave him half credit. It's actually "It was you who broke my mason plate". He wanted to do her other code, which was "Breakfast is served with a silver spoon", but no, I chose the other one.

After that was dance off. I had Ken running music as I stood with a microphone, announcing names and having the crowd vote. Again, it dragged a bit, the same people danced, the same girl was like "I NEED A SONG TO DANCE TO, BUT I DON'T HAVE ANY CHOICE, JUST MAKE IT GOOD." I wanted to smack her with the mic.

I forgot Pat's tiara (*tear*), so the pretty pony princess borrowed Perona's wig with the crown and danced with that. And by danced, I mean he did the "PATented Pat Dance", which is him just thrusting. Like a nozzle.

We had an odd number the first round, so I had Ken dance. When Poxo danced he took off his cape and lifted his shirt, which prompted a "yarrr, that be replacing the whale in me nightmares", so Ken, of course, RIPS HIS SHIRT OFF AND STARTS CLUB DANCING ME. WTF. One hand goes to skirt to keep it down, the other is just curling myself into myself to avoid this. DAMNIT KEN.

The next rounds progressed, Russia was ADORABLE. I wanted Matt Myers (who showed up to a Yomise, man needs a life outside of our con!), to dance but I kept calling him Mike like a douchebag. MY APOLOGIES, BAD WITH NAMES, ETC. Pat did his stupid dance against the grey shirt guy, except, you know, followed Ken's method and thrusted at me, then had me do the monkey with him. Ken should've played the Johnny Bravo song.

Ultimately Perona won! :0

And then... she won the Cosplay Contest, which I had to host. Cause I always host them, lawl. So much mic use from me.

THEN DANCE! :0

I went to change cause I was already dying in that costume (school uniform with a blazer, plus uber schpuffy wig? Heatstroke is imminent). So changed back into my normal clothes, took Renee's stunna heart-shaped sunglasses and sat in the tech booth for a while. Sami couldn't dance in her shoes D: Those sandals look like they'd kill anyone from WALKING in them, so me, her, Ken, and Alex pimped up the sound stage by cage dancing.

When Sketch started IMing me, Alex and Ken were like "YOU SHOULD BE DANCING, NOT TALKING TO HIM. GOR. RAGE." and after making me shut my laptop, LIFTED ME BY EACH ARM AROUND THE BOOTH INTO THE CROWD. Bastards.

Alex wouldn't even play songs I liked except for the beginning and the end. I did all of Cotton Eyed Joe, Soulja Boy, Cupid Shuffle, etc (these dances are so fucking not con-like at all). I missed Thriller cause I went outside, but after that failed skit I hate dancing to that song anyway. We did the Time Warp, and me and Ed got lectured by Alex for doing the callbacks (cause they say FUCK, haha), and then Caramelldansen, aaand Hare Hare Yukai played while I was outside, too...

But we did do Hanamaru Sensation, the ending to Kodomo no Jikan, so I got to do the silly dance.

Hung out with Ken, his friend, and Matt Myers for a while outside... I had one hell of a headache by then. The heat and the blaring fucking speakers were just like "ahhhh, fuck you."

BUT I persevered until the end. Dance ended at two, helped deconstruct and left with Lauren at like 3 to drop her off. Then went home, took some tylenol, and dicked around on the computer until my head didn't hurt anymore.

And now I'm going to work, cause work is fun (not).
